PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA BERDASARKAN KURIKULUM BERBASIS KOMPETENSI DI SMK

Every mathematic teacher has trouble in teaching mathematic. Because, every student has different characteristic and different capability. Cocroft Report (1982: 132) suggest that in every grade, the teacher must use many kinds of learning method and the method must according to the capability of student to know about the matter. There are the learning method : Exposition method, discussion method, problem solving method, investigation method, basic training method, application method.
Now, there is a curriculum can be named by based competence curriculum. This curriculum develop the study experience, contextual teaching and learning, meaningful teaching and consider the life skill such as generic skill (personal capability, social capability, academic capability, and the other).
        Teaching mathematic is not easy because in reality showed that every student have trouble in learning mathematic. Characteristic of mathematic are mathematics is a search for patterns and relationship, mathematics is a creative activity, involving imagination, intuition and discovery, mathematics is a way of solving problems, mathematics is a means of communicating information or ideas.
      Every student  have the different characteristic. It can be seen from cognitive development, psychomotor development and affective development. In cognitive development, the students learn best when they are motivated, the student learns in a way that is unique, the students learn both independently and through collaboration, the students consolidate their learning by meeting the same idea in different contexts. In psychomotor development, every student must show their capability to do physic activity like draw triangle, circle and so on.
The truth of study mathematic have relation between objective knowledge of mathematics and subjective knowledge of mathematics. Social interaction in learning mathematics become an important thing.
The competence based curriculum is designed in learning process of mathematic. The standard competency that important to raise the student’s of Senior High School or Vocational Senior High School are : algebra, trigonometry, geometry, statistic, probability and calculus. We must develop the syllabi based on competence based curriculum.
For every graduate, the matter of learning mathematic consist of : fact, concepts, algorithmic capability, problem solving and investigation. Experience and learning activity is the important activity to reach the basic capability.
