What
is the lesson study?
Lesson
study is the effort to develop the capability of the teacher in hold the
teaching learning process by using research and reflect it systematically. The
purpose of the lesson study is to increase reserve of the teacher to the
student’s need in study. The main activity of the lesson study is done by the
teacher to observe, find and reflect in teaching learning process.
The
step of lesson study are : preparation (prepare lesson plan), hold (a teacher
do the teaching learning process), reflection I (discussion), reflection II
(doing teaching learning process and the other teacher observe). The relevant
paradigm of the lesson study are : student centered, constructivist, realistic
mathematics, contextual teaching learning.
Innovation
of the lesson study can be done if the teacher have high commitment, develop
the infra system, is the union of component. Lesson study support KTSP, lesson
study need development of students worksheet, push the developing of teaching
aids/ media. Lesson study need a theme.
Lesson
plan is the important thing in lesson study. Lesson plan satisfy : reserve
students need, reflected students activity, reflected various interaction,
reflected, various media, reflected various method, reflected cognitive scheme
of the students, reflected developing of
evaluation, lesson plan as a communication media, reflected the innovation,
always revised, lesson plan is the media of research.
Supporter
of lesson study is understanding and implementing of the nature of motivation, the nature of apperception,
the nature of discussion, the nature of group discussion, the nature of student
participation/involvement, the nature of students construction, the nature of
aim of education: obligation VS need. Socialization of the lesson study by
publication, stake holder, lesson study open house, cooperate with university,
and so on.
